Soooooo… this is probably going to be more of a ramble than anything else. I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to say.
Sometimes I’ll start a sentance and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.
Michael Scott | The Office
I have decided I am tired of feeling unhealthy, and honestly, overweight. Don’t worry, this is not going to be a negative post. I have delivered 2 babies by ceserian in under 3 years, my body has not bounced back. I’m not ashamed of it, my body grew two of the most amazing human beings I have ever met! My body rocks! However, between these 2 pregnancies I have gained over 60 pounds, this makes my body feel tired and sluggish.
And let’s be honest, it’s hard to look down and see an entirely different body than what you were used to and still feel confident in it.
So, I’m embarking on a journey to lose the baby weight, and to get in shape. I don’t want to be that person who gets winded going up a flight of stairs. And I’m tired of being that person who’s diet is mainly made up of Taco Bell.
I am beginning this journey for:
Myself: I want to feel strong, healthy, capable.
My family: I don’t want my unhealthy habits affecting the quality of my time spent with my husband and children.
My thought on writing this is that if I keep up on updates through my blog then I will better hold myself accountable.
Here’s to the better version of myself that I am setting out to find! 🙂
Anyone who knows me knows that I am OBSESSED with Friends. I’m not even exaggerating. So I have decided to round up all the episodes that you should watch on Thanksgiving. 🙂
“The One Where Chandler Hates Dogs”
Joey tells Rachel’s secret. We find out a secret about Chandler as well.
“The One With The List”
Chanlder helps Ross create a pros and cons list to decide between Rachel and Julie. Monica gets a job creating recipes with a disgusting synthetic chocolate substitute.
“The One With The Late Thanksgiving”
Monica prepares dinner for the gang, and is upset when they all show up late. Pheobe convinces Rachel to enter Emma into a beauty contest.
“The One Where the Underdog Gets Away”
Monica and Ross cook Thanksgiving dinner for themselves, but everyone else shows up.
“The One with Chandler in a Box”
Chandler reveals a mistake he made behind Joey’s back. Joey comes up with an interesting punishment.
“The One with the Rumor”
We find out about a special club in high school dedicated to Rachel.
“The One with Rachel’s Other Sister”
Rachel has a bone to pick with her self-centered sister.
“The One with the Football”
We see the competive side of the Geller siblings which results in Thanksgiving dinner not going as planned.
“The One with All the Thanksgivings”
A classic flashback episode.
“The One where Ross got High”
Chandler finds out that Monica didn’t tell her parents they were together, for good reason. Her parents thought that Chandler was a drug addict.
Friends is one of the only sitcoms that I know of that did a dedicated Thanskgiving episode every season. I hope you found this helpful if you were wanting to have something playing in the background as you prepare for Thanksgiving. 🙂
Hi, buddies! Let’s talk Thanksgiving, mkay? I’m a person of contradictions. I hate running late to anything, but I always seem to procrastinate things to the last minute. Anyone else feel me? So this year I’m starting all of my holiday planning early. This is why I’m posting these side dish recipes 3 before the big day! Let’s get prepared ahead of time! 🙂
Side note: I am not a great cook, so these recipes are not my original recipes. The links will lead to the original recipe. I hope this helps you all with your Thanksgiving game plan!
The Pioneer Woman’s Perfect Mashed Potatoes
Obviously my first suggestion is mashed potatoes. 😂 What’s Thanksgiving without this smooth and creamy dish?!
The time is upon us, my friends. The Holiday season is beginning. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Chelsea, it’s only November 1st.” I realize this, and I also know that many of you are probably already starting to think of what gifts you are going to buy. I have found that the best way to avoid a huge chunk of stress during this time is to start your shopping early.
This list is going to be specifically for women, and these are all items that I feel are affordable for almost any budget. Coming from someone who is on a very strict budget you can trust that I know a little about what’s “affordable” and what’s not.
I have been seeing a rise in popularity of these phone cases, and I can understand why. The design is great for larger phones that can be difficult to hang on to. Instead of wrapping your hand around the entire phone, or Pop Socket, you can easily slide a finger or two into the loop. The price for these cases is very reasonable as well!
Guys, I have a confession to make. I am a blanket junkie! There’s nothing better on a chilly morning that cuddling up on the couch under a soft blanket. As it turns out Target is the place to go if you are looking for some AMAZING blankets and throws! They are super soft, cute, and affordable! Who wouldn’t love receiving one of these as a gift?!
This is a local brand to me; these pieces are made in the town over from where I live. There’s nothing I love more than supporting local/small business. Especially those run by moms busting their hineys to make a wonderful life for their children! Liz makes wonderfully cute handmade pieces! You need to go check out her work!
It’s winter. It’s chilly. No one enjoys cold toes. I may be speaking for myself, but I LOVE soft cozy slippers. There are so many different options when it comes to buying slippers. You could easily buy every woman in your family a different pair and call it a day. Look at you getting all your Christmas shopping done at once, now you have time for wine. 😉
OMG. Guys. My mother-in-law just bought me a Sherpa pullover, and I can’t get enough of it! I almost look forward to getting up in the mornings just to put this on, note the word almost. Do the women in your life a favor and get them one, they are sure to love it!
Stop what you’re doing and try to think of one woman who wouldn’t love receiving some yummy smelling bath bombs. Go on, I’ll wait. Oh, you couldn’t think of anyone? Shocking! 😉
There you have it, folks. My first ever gift guide. This one is obviously specific for women, but, I do plan to make a few more! I hope this list was helpful! Do you start your shopping this early? Let me know how you felt about this list, and as always, thank you so much for reading!!
THIS POST IS NOT SPONSERED BY ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED BRANDS OR COMPANIES. 😊
“Nobody – not a voice of authority, not your mama, not the foremost expert in your arena – gets to tell you how big your dreams can be, they can talk all they want…but you get to decide if you’re going to listen.”
Hi, buddies! Boy, I’m having a tough time getting started this morning. Autumn has decided to stay this time, and we have spent the morning snuggled up watching Sesame Street. Finally, I decided it was time to get up, get a cup of coffee, and get going.
This weekend we celebrated my 25th birthday early. My birthday is tomorrow. Unlike most people, I don’t dread my birthday. 😉
We started on Saturday by going to a pumpkin patch. At this particular one (Eckert’s, Belleville) you take a hayride back to the patch. We decided it was too windy for the baby so unfortunately we didn’t get to pick any pumpkins. We still had a blast! There was an entire area dedicated to kids, with rides and a petting zoo.
After the pumpkin patch my husband was amazed that I had never been to Target. So, we went and walked through the whole store. I cannot wait to go back! We finished our trip off with an early dinner at Chick-fil-A. Yum!
Yesterday we had birthday cake with my parents, and birthday dinner with my in-laws. 🙂
All in all, I had a fantastic weekend! How was yours?!
Hey friends! Sorry for the gap in posts, I won’t sit here and make a lot of excuses, Life. That’s enough right? The great thing about this community is that you are all so supportive, which is not what I was expecting! I honestly thought that the blogging world would be a “dog-eat-dog” place. It is so pleasantly surprising to find out how wrong I was about that!
This morning I want to talk about music. More specifically, music that I feel is good for autumn. Once October hits, it’s basically the holiday season, which means for me at least, that time rushes by. All the stress (good and bad) of preparing for the season can really speed the days. So, today, I thought I’d share a music playlist that may help slow things down and give us a chance to enjoy the moment we’re in.
Let me know if you like any of these songs, and also please leave me some suggestions of other songs to listen to! 🙂
