The Versatile Blogger Award

Good morning lovelies! I woke up this morning with a notification that I had been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award! 🙂 I have been blogging for about a year now, but I had ZERO confidence in myself. Discovering the blogging community on Twitter has completely changed my outlook on what I can do. Every day this community blows me away with all of their kindness and support. I was nominated by Molly over at

• If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award
• Thank the person who gave you the award
• Include a link to their blog
• Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly
• Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award
• Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself

I am not a morning person. But having two children under the age of 3 forces me out of bed way sooner than I would wish. Lately, I’ve decided to start embracing the mornings. It’s a mind over matter sort of situation, with a lot of coffee! 😉

I have 2 tattoos. I got the first one when I was 18, on a dare. It’s a poorly drawn peace sign between my shoulder blades. Maybe someday I will come up with a cool idea for a cover up. The second is on my wrist, two elephants with there trunks intertwined.  I got it to represent the bond between my sister and I. I intend to get at least 2 more to represent my children, once I think of what I want!

I love spaghetti! Need I say more? 😉

I’m a soda addict. BUT, I gave it up one month ago! I’m pretty proud of myself for that. I used to drink nothing but Dr. Pepper 24/7.

Benjamin Burnley’s voice speaks to my soul. Okay, so you may not know who I’m talking about. He is the lead singer of Breaking Benjamin. You NEED to go listen to him. Like, drop what your doing and go listen!

I’m a sucker for self-help books. Don’t roll your eyes yet. I know alot of them are the same information over and over. I have found one book that is different. It is what has helped me realize that I can go for my dreams, for real. It’s called Girl, Wash Your Face.

I love the Sound of Music. My grandma introduced me, and we watched it every year on or around Christmas. It’s a tradition I still carry on.

My nominations are:

  1. Thank you so much for the nomination! You’re so lovely. I’m working on two Blogtober posts at once, so I’ll just tell you my 7 here:
-I don’t have any tattoos. I’ll get one for my daughter eventually, or I won’t. I’m currently saving up a down payment so it’s going to be a while.
-I am also not a morning person. I used to have a job that required me to be out the door at 4am. It’s a wonder I didn’t kill anyone.
-I love spaghetti. And tacos. Chili. Shepherd’s pie. Enchiladas. Baked ziti. I know my way around a pound of ground.
-I like to sit at the computer with a ginger ale after I put my daughter to bed. I used to do it with a rum and juice, but then I got pregnant. I haven’t really had alcohol, aside from the odd beer or glass of wine, since I had her last year.
-I like baritones. Paul Banks, Jim Morrison, Ian Curtis, etc. I’ve heard of Breaking Benjamin, but I don’t think I’ve heard their songs.
-I have to watch ELF with my mom every Christmas. It’s her favorite.
-I’ve read precisely one book since my daughter was born, and it was for my blog.

Thank you again for the tag!

  2. So cleaaarly we were meant to be friends. I LOVE BREAKING BENJAMIN!!!! Gaaaaah his voice! Yess!!! I love your elephant tattoo!!! My sister and I are really close and we have matching Snoopy tattoos. And spaghetti is amazing. I was a soda addict, too. I used to drink diet coke with my grandma…like multiple times a day. When my youngest, he’s 4 now, was born, I decided that was enough. I’ve had it a few times since then, but honestly can’t stand the taste of it anymore.

I loved reading this!! And thank you for the nomination! It means so much to me!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
